U.2/U.3 的区别

个人理解的主要区别：

一样的SFF-8639的连接器

2）U.2/U.3的Pin 脚定义不同，主要在SAS0 和 PCIe 0上, 改为共用PCIe0和SAS0 的Pin。

3）U.2 需要5x 高速Lane（SAS0, PCIe0, SAS/PCIe1-3) ; U.3 仅需要4x 高速Lane (SAS0/PCIe 0-3)

U.3背板仅需要一个Connector就可以兼容SAS/PCIe, 这样可以统一为单一的接口连接器---SFF8654(SlimSAS).

U.3的盘向后兼容U.2的背板。所以前期的服务器都可以使用U.3的盘。

U.3 和UBM背板规范:
